Abstract

Higher education institutions not only play a role in producing workers but also in producing future leaders who are ready to adapt to the times. In this era, leaders are required to adapt to the rapid digital advancements, such as "Artificial Intelligence" (AI). The presence of higher education institutions capable of producing leaders who can adapt in the AI era is part of improving the quality of higher education. This study aims to reveal the Influence of AI literacy on the readiness of student leaders in the digital era. AI literacy in this study refers to 5 dimensions issued by the Digital Education Council (DEC), namely: understanding AI and Data (X1), evaluation of AI content (X2), ethics and responsibility of AI use (X3), collaboration and creativity in AI utilization (X4), and the impact of AI on leadership careers (X5). Using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM, this study conducted a survey of 235 organizational administrators from 9 study program associations. The findings of this study indicate that the three dimensions, namely X1, X4, and X5, have a significant Influence on student leadership readiness to adapt to the digital era. Meanwhile, X2 and X3 do not have a significant Influence. This article can be one of many references for higher education administrators in the education curriculum and as a guide for developing student leadership to achieve quality education in higher education (SDG 4).
